Overview

Babyphone pairs two Android phones: the Baby phone stays near the crib, the Parent phone receives the audio and the alerts.

Pairing starts on the Parent phone by scanning a QR code. Both phones must be able to reach each other on the same local network, through Wi-Fi, a hotspot or Ethernet.

While monitoring, the Parent phone shows the connection status, the Baby phone's battery level and any movement alert, and lets you speak to the baby.

Communication between the two phones is secured: the audio and video they exchange are encrypted, and every connection is authenticated with the pairing key.

Babyphone is not a medical device. It does not replace a certified baby monitor or the supervision of an adult.

QR code pairing
The Parent phone scans a QR code to pair with the phone beside the baby.
Live listening
Encrypted audio from the Baby phone plays on the Parent phone while monitoring is active.
Security
Audio and video exchanged between the two phones are encrypted.
Movement alerts
The Parent phone shows an alert when sustained movement is detected in the crib area.
Talk to the baby
A single button lets you speak to the baby from the Parent phone. Your voice is encrypted too.
Battery level
The Baby phone's battery level is shown on the Parent phone.
Connection status
The Parent phone always shows whether the two phones are connected.
